Let’s set aside the question of whether this is what we should be hearing on the radio. A circle has been created, into which Sara Renar invites anyone ready to stand beside her. This is intimate lyricism, infused with melodies that evoke an atmosphere of loneliness and illusion. Poetic images have been crafted and are ready to emerge to the surface. Sara truly arrived on the scene “in grand style,” and her music creates twists at the right places and moments. She has done what she had to for herself. Stylistically, she has not bowed to established conventions but has boldly ventured onto new paths, and with each step, she keeps raising the bar higher and higher.
