An original musical performance, created upon invitation for the 35th Youth Salon, questions the (im)possibility of live performance under pandemic conditions. The description of the 35th Youth Salon states, “…the average millennial frantically scrolls through information and swipes images. They are drowning in a flood of visual stimuli…” As if the new generation wasn't already dependent enough on technology, in 2020, due to well-known circumstances, every form of public performance and physical contact shifted to online platforms. This unconventional concert performance critically examines such a state of affairs. How dependent are we on technology? How important is physical closeness to us? What happens if the power goes out? Or the internet?
